Mwende Window Snyder, the former Chief Security Officer for Mozilla, has taken a bite from Apple and will now be Apple’s senior product manager for security.
At Mozilla, Snyder was responsible for introducing threat modeling into the Firefox development process and spearheaded a metrics project to measure the effectiveness of the open source group’s secure development efforts.
She has also worked with Microsoft as a security lead.
Apple has been working to deal with an increasing onslaught of security threats and they hope that Snyder will help make the difference. She is tasked with securing the Mac ecosystem and we are sure that it will be a task that she will accomplish with great zeal.
