Jason clocked 49.76 in the freestyle event, beating opponents including Olympic silver medalist and former world record holder, Eamon Sullivan of Australia, and Filipo Magnini, Italy’s two time world champion in the event.

David Dunford won a bronze in one freestyle event, and came in fourth in the other.

This was the fourth edition of the Aspria Swimming Cup, where top world swimmers are invited to take part. Both brothers are using this event as a build-up to the Africa Championships to be held in Morocco in September.
